I went to a science expo sort of thing at UT-Austin a few years ago. There was an entomologist who had any number of walking sticks, giant cockroaches, etc. clinging to his shirt. I asked him, “What does freak you out?” I know that only a cute furry moth, but still....nope.

I dislike nasty regular-sized moths. This one is terrifying.

I think I’d literally shit a brick if that thing flew into my house. Luckily I don’t live in Australia.

I found one in Adelaide a few years ago. I thought it was the biggest insect I’d ever seen until my tour guide explained that it was just a baby and that it would grow nearly twice that size! Because Australia. Damn, nature, you scary!

I saw one of those in Cozumel three years ago. Thing barked at me from the wall of the hallway in my hotel.
